What to Expect

Beginning your healing journey can feel overwhelming,
but you're not alone.

At Anchored in Healing, we know that taking the first step toward therapy takes courage. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, relationship issues, past trauma, life transitions, or simply seeking a space to grow, our team is here to walk alongside you with compassion, professionalism, and purpose.

Here are the Next Steps

Step 1: Reach Out

When you fill out our contact form, send us a text, or give us a phone call, a member of our team will get back to you as soon as possible but no longer than 24 hours. We’ll give you some information about our practice, approach to therapy, availability, rates, scheduling, etc. We may ask a few questions to understand your needs, preferences, and goals, so we can match you with the right therapist or coach based on what you are looking for.

We offer services for individuals, couples, families, and children. All of our clinicians offer both in-person and virtual sessions, depending on your location and preference.

Step 2: Schedule Your First Session

Once you’re matched with a clinician, we’ll schedule your first session and send you the required intake forms. All of our paperwork is electronic and can be completed online. The forms will then automatically be uploaded to our system. All paperwork needs to be completed prior to your initial session.

Not sure if you’re ready to commit? We also offer brief phone consultations (10 minutes) to answer questions and help you decide if we’re the right fit.

Step 3: Your First Session

Your first session is a time to get to know each other, explore what’s bringing you in, and begin identifying what you want to get out of therapy. There’s no pressure to share more than you’re comfortable with. Your therapist will create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can feel safe to be yourself.

You’ll also have the chance to ask questions, discuss your hopes and expectations, and begin building the foundation for a meaningful therapeutic relationship.

Our Approach

We are a trauma-informed, attachment-focused practice. Our clinicians integrate a variety of experiential practices to heal trauma and relational wounding along with evidence-based modalities such as EMDR, IFS, DBT, ACT, CBT, EFT, somatic practices, mindfulness, and more. Whether you’re working toward healing, clarity, connection, or confidence, our goal is to help you feel anchored, seen, and supported.

Ongoing Sessions

Therapy looks different for everyone. Some clients come weekly, others biweekly. Some stay for a few months; others longer. Together, you and your therapist will create a plan that works for your needs, pace, and growth. We take a collaborative, personalized approach that honors your voice every step of the way.

We're Here to Help

You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to take the first step, and we’ll meet you there.
