Allison has a Bachelor’s Degree in business with a minor in Psychology and then earned her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Trevecca Nazarene University. She has devoted her career to understanding how early relationships, attachment experiences, trauma, and family systems shape emotional health, behavior, and relational functioning across the lifespan. Her work is grounded in the belief that behavior makes sense within the context of an individual’s story and that lasting change occurs when underlying patterns are understood and addressed.
In her clinical practice, Allison works with individuals, couples, and families facing complex relational challenges, trauma histories, addictions, intimacy disorders, ADHD, eating disorders, and family-of-origin concerns. She is known for combining deep clinical insight with practical strategies that help clients create meaningful and sustainable changes.
In addition to her clinical work, Allison has developed a specialized focus in court-involved and high-conflict family matters. She consults with attorneys, provides expert witness testimony, and works with families navigating complex custody disputes, parent-child contact problems, parental alienation concerns, reunification issues, supervised visitation, and co-parenting conflicts. Her expertise is frequently sought in matters involving child development, attachment, trauma, parent-child relationships, and the impact of family conflict on children’s emotional well-being.
Allison is an active member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC), the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), and other professional organizations dedicated to advancing clinical excellence, forensic practice, and evidence-informed care.
Whether serving as a therapist, consultant, supervisor, or expert witness, Allison is committed to providing thoughtful, evidence-informed services that help individuals, families, attorneys, and courts better understand the complex factors that influence human behavior, parent-child relationships, and family functioning.
